Michigan Works! and Delta College Launch New Manufacturing Warehouse & Logistics FastStart Training

Are you interested in a fast-growing career starting at $14-16 an hour? If so, Manufacturing Warehouse & Logistics is an exciting career path that is essential for:

  • Movement of materials and packaging of products
  • Preparation of raw materials for operations
  • Breaking down pallets of materials and products
  • Arranging, stacking and repackaging materials
  • Safe operation of a forklift
  • Knowing and practicing health, safety and environmental standards
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Instrument calibration
  • Handling heavy hand tools

This 62-hour program includes classroom and hands-on training at the Delta College main campus, onsite at a forklift training facility, and online learning. Scholarships are available through Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works! for those who qualify.

Those who successfully complete the training will earn:

  • OSHA 10-hour safety card
  • Forklift certification
  • Delta College Manufacturing Warehouse & Logistics Fast Start certificate of completion
  • An opportunity to interview with a local company currently hiring for positions in this field
