PMTC & Career Explorer: This workshop explains the features of Pure Michigan Talent Connect (PMTC) and its Career Explorer tool so you can make the most out of your job search and career planning. PMTC is Michigan’s official labor exchange system and is a launch pad for new jobs, careers and talent. Career Explorer is a unique tool within PMTC that provides you with personalized career and education data that is tailored to your individual needs. This workshop will show you how to create an account and navigate our regional employment and training opportunities to discover your career path. The more knowledge, tools, and skills we have for understanding stress, the better we are at keeping it under control. Inspired: This workshop will “inspire” you to see the world from a new perspective. You will discuss a variety of topics ranging from current events happening in the world or your community, choosing your attitude, how to zero in on your goals, tips on managing stress and trauma, and more. Moving Forward: This workshop discusses tips and techniques for obtaining employment when your background may include misdemeanors or felonies. It includes helpful discussions on addressing tough questions concerning your past, and tips for a successful job search. We also provide an introduction to Michigan’s Clean Slate expungement program. Please note that the Clean Slate information is for informational purposes only.
